A question about assessing portfolios of strategic options

Hello everyone, I have a quick question for the portfolio sensemaking community regarding the monitoring and learning perspective. I’m interested in your experiences with developing indicators or learning questions to assess the ‘health’ and cohesiveness of a portfolio consisting of project and strategy options. How have you gone about collecting data for this purpose? Have you primarily relied on qualitative data, or have you also explored the use of quantitative portfolio data?
